A Rainbow trailer beside a marquee, from the company’s real photographic archive. Lighting retouch of the original photograph.
Our archive photograph shows a Rainbow trailer beside an event marquee. This type of arrangement creates a temporary hospitality space with distinct areas for dining, dancing, catering and restrooms. To make them work together, restroom planning needs to join the marquee layout before entrances and equipment positions are finalised.
Coordinate exits and trailer positioning
Ask the marquee coordinator for the current plan showing entrances, exits and circulation routes. Restroom access should not occupy space reserved for another purpose. The final layout needs agreement with the organiser and the responsible venue team; a photograph of a previous installation offers ideas, not approval for every new position.
Plan the route between the two spaces
Consider the surface between the marquee exit and the trailer steps: grass, soil, paving or temporary flooring. Discuss lighting and wet-weather arrangements with the suppliers responsible for that route. Any shelter or additional structure needs its own design and must not be attached to the trailer without agreement.
Set the delivery sequence
The delivery vehicle needs a clear route and manoeuvring space. Tables, plants, generators or other suppliers’ vehicles can make that approach harder if they arrive first. Coordinate installation and collection with the marquee supplier, caterer and Rainbow, and identify who will be on site to confirm the agreed position.
Clarify responsibility for utilities
Do not assume the marquee’s electrical provision automatically covers the trailer. Describe the available utilities and let the team confirm the selected model’s requirements. The final plan should identify responsibility for connections, safe cable routes and any support required during the event.
Include evening operation and collection
Record the actual hours of use, not just the start time. If the party continues after dinner, restroom care needs to reflect that schedule. Collection is arranged for a time when the access route is clear again. Supplies, staff attendance and support hours are set out in the agreed quotation.
